IV Therapy & Vitamin Injections in Dania Beach, near Fort Lauderdale
IV therapy at Injection Lab is a medical therapy for hydration and recovery. It is given by Kendally Guardia, a board-certified Physician Assistant, PA-C, and Florida licensed medical provider, after a review of each patient’s medical history.
What IV Therapy Is
IV stands for intravenous. Fluids are delivered through a small line placed in a vein in the arm, so they go directly into the bloodstream. The patient sits and rests while the drip runs.
Recovery IV
The Recovery IV is the IV offered at Injection Lab. It is an IV for hydration and recovery, for example after a workout, travel or a demanding week.
Vitamin Injections
Vitamin injections are a quick injection, without an IV line. They are an option for patients who do not want or do not need a drip.
Who IV Therapy Is For
IV therapy is for adults who want support with hydration, low energy or recovery after exercise, and who have no medical reason to avoid IV fluids.
Who IV Therapy Is Not For
IV therapy may not be appropriate for patients who:
- Have heart failure or kidney disease, because extra fluid can be a problem.
- Have a known allergy to an ingredient of the IV or the injection.
- Are pregnant, unless their own doctor has approved it.
- Have an infection or broken skin where the line would be placed.
IV therapy is not a treatment for a medical emergency. Medical history and current medications are reviewed before every IV.
What to Expect at the Visit
- Medical history, current medications and treatment consent are reviewed.
- A small IV line is placed in a vein in the arm.
- The patient rests while the drip runs.
- The line is removed and the patient can return to normal activity.
IV, NAD+ or Peptides?
They are three different treatments. The Recovery IV is for hydration and recovery. NAD+ therapy is a separate treatment, available as an NAD+ IV or as monthly injections. Peptide therapy is a prescribed plan decided in a consultation.
